ILL OMEN “Divinity Through Un-creation” CD

ILL OMEN (Aus) “Divinity Through Un-creation” CD (Adverse Order Music) 8e

“Man, you really should check out Ill Omen.” This is the response I’ve been getting each time I complimented Nuclear Winter Records’ head honcho (and Dead Congregation guitarist/vocalist btw – in case you didn’t know it) for putting out the vinyl of “Prophecies Of Malevolence”, the debut MLP by fantastic ritualistic black/death act Temple Nightside (also available on CD).

The day I eventually laid my hands on the latest Ill Omen album, I understood why. Actually I’ve been the wrong way around, since Ill Omen is a band that’s been around for quite some time with a few releases under its belt, and T.S. is its newborn death metal branch.

Not surprisingly both bands share a common “Joined In Darkness”-era Demoncy worship. What they also have in common is that they both invoke a very thick and immersive occult atmosphere that will keep you petrified until their deeds are done.

Both bands are indispensable, Ill Omen representing the more blackened side. Do what you have to do.
