I often get asked “how it is to live in Greece these days?”. Well, if you want to get a taste of the anger and frustration of our alienated youth, Antimob have produced the sound track to the sad fucking days that we’re living down here…

Antimob kept gettng better over the years. The demo tape (sold out by now) they’ve released prior to this album, featuring most of its tracks in pre-production stage, gave us some good hints about what the band would unleash upon us.

This is modern hardcore punk of the highest pedigree. Intense, passionate, anti-commercial, ressourceful, with the right amount of metal influences that spice it up without cutting Antimob off their punk roots. Antimob annihilate most of the competition, including (and not only) 99% of the modern crust/Tragedy clones. Antimob are the real thing, son.

Antimob have become this record my favorite local hardcore band EVER. Yes, I know and love the classics (NAYTIA, Chaotic End, Hibernation…), but I simply feel this fucker closer to me. Maybe because the excellent metal influences that I’ve mentioned above are similar to my own personal tastes (fuck me but the record starts with a killer riff that could have been played by many of our favorite black metal bands).

Certainly and foremost because Antimob have captured on tape the vibes of our times. This speaks straight to my heart and I know that many of our foreign friends can also feel the immediacy, the sincerity and the passion that pour out generously from the vinyl tracks.

All hails Antimob. Don’t you dare quitting any time soon. We are proud of you. We fucking need you.

PS: I must admit that I feel extremely miserable to never have seen them live.
