KICKBACK/VOMIR split-7″EP (Gangstyle Records) 8€

We stocked some of the last copies of this 7″EP’s first pressing. It features an unreleased Kickback track, “Soleil Noir”, recorded in 2008 for “No Surrender”, but never made it to the album. The vocals were added years later, in 2011 during the vocals session of “Et Le Diable Rit Avec Nous”. Admittedly in the beginning I didn’t like the track very much and thought it was a typical B-side/filler. After repeated listens it turned that it is a grower and a fucking excellent piss, as well as an appropriate funeral to the now defunct controversial unit.

On the flip side, VOMIR from France deliver a vicious wall of harsh noise and power electronics. Damn fine.
